In today's world, where we say that men and women are equal on the basis of rights, education, and power. But, do we really believe in that? If we ponder on this contradicting question, the answer will be NO.
Though, we believe that the advancement of science and technology has made us more realistic, logical and rational thinkers that drive us to believe in equality and empowerment.
Our modern culture shows us the path to become more independent citizens so that we don't have to depend on others for our survival. Our identity is embedded in our individuality. The purpose of our life will be ruined if we don't enlighten our identity.
But, still, our society has contradicting opinions, women are always considered as weaker than men on the basis of physique.
If a guy stays outside in the late-night, hangouts with other girls, then they are called by the name of stud or dude. On the other hand, our so-called society shuttles their views like a pendulum when it comes to girls. They are addressed as sluts if they hang out with guys, stay outside late at night.
Society considers men as masculine whereas women are postered as feminine. You know why? Because women are considered sensitive, timid, shy whereas men are symbolized as robust, powerful and dominant.
This mentality has to be changed immediately so that everyone can stay in harmony irrespective of gender biasedness.
One day, I encountered a girl in a grocery shop, she was crying and there were people surrounding her. I immediately rushed and asked her what happened to her and why is she crying.
She replied to me in her shivering voice that the shopkeeper was abusing and was trying to molest her. I can clearly see her utter grief in her eyes. But do you know what made me upset? It's not because as the girl was crying, it's because of the coward public who were seeing her in trouble but no one ever bothered to ask for help once. What made me really happy was that she didn't act cowardly, she was brave and strong enough to fight for herself. She called the cops and filed FIR against the shopkeeper without seeking anyone's help. So girls, be strong and fight for yourself as the world is blind. They only can make humongous advice but when it comes to execution, they keep mum.
So, we are strong, independent, and mature enough to deal with difficult circumstances single-handedly. Only, we need to believe in ourselves!!!
